This day-after session was EVERYTHING! As an Orlando wedding photographer, I usually photograph just that – weddings!! But Danica and Johnny wanted more than just wedding photos. They wanted to do a special session the day after their wedding to celebrate. And it was an absolute BLAST.

Danica and Johnny had a shorter engagement, so we didn’t have a chance to do their engagement photos before the big day. So instead, we opted for a bonus session the day after their wedding, and it was pure magic!

These two, who are both super adventurous and from opposite sides of the country met at a wakeboard camp back in 2014! They got along great but were just friends from there. After 6 years of minimally staying in touch, Johnny was on a cross-country road trip and was passing through Danica’s town. (or close enough to have a good excuse to stop by, ha!) He reached out to catch up with an old friend. From what they told me, it was one dinner and a few text convos and they both were stopped in their tracks!! After a couple trips to visit each other after this one encounter, they knew right away they had found their life partner. The cutest story ever, right?!

I felt like the luckiest photographer to get to hang with these special people two days in a row. Once at their intimate lakeside destination Florida wedding (see that blog post here!), and second at this chill, Florida adventure session the next day!

We were able to chat and reminisce on their perfect wedding day, which was so much fun to do! We captured their love and personality as a couple in everyday life, away from all the glitz and glam of weddings. These two LIVE to adventure and travel. So what better than to catch them in their element while on their destination wedding trip?! So thankful to be an Orlando wedding photographer & to have captured this wonderful couple!
